How to Install DC Current Sensor Correctly

The DC current sensor is a reliable and technologically advanced DC high current measuring instrument, which is widely used in metallurgy, chemical industry, carbon and other industries. The instrument can output standard voltage and current signals at the same time, and is used to connect with other instruments as a signal source for monitoring and control. The product is composed of a sensor head and a signal box. The sensor head is a split frame aluminum alloy shell structure, and the circuit box is a waterproof, anti-corrosion, and static shielded aluminum alloy shell. And it is mainly used in metallurgy, chemical, carbon and other industries as high-current precision measurement and detection devices, and can also be used as a control element.
In order to ensure that the DC current sensor can be used normally in the future, it is also very important to install the equipment correctly. Let's share some installation experience below.
1. Decide the installation method according to the site conditions and the external dimensions of the sensor head, and then make the bracket base plate (or spacer) according to the required size. The bracket base plate material can be non-magnetic materials such as plastic board, epoxy board, bakelite board or hard wood etc. If ferromagnetic materials are used as the mounting bracket for the sensor head, non-magnetic materials such as wooden blocks should be used as spacers to keep the distance between the sensor and the bracket greater than 80 mm. 

2. The conductive busbar to be tested should be placed in the center of the sensor head window and perpendicular to the sensor plane.
3. The installation position of the sensor head should be as far away as possible from other conductive busbars and away from the corner of the measured busbar.
4. The distance between the circuit box and the sensor head is recommended to be less than 10 meters, and the dedicated cable can be lengthened as needed.
5. The cable plug can be connected to the two sockets in the lower half of the sensor head at will, and the remaining socket in the lower half is connected to the socket of the upper half by a jumper cable.
